A Texas judge has ordered Yaya Mayweather to pay Lapattra Jacobs $50.1 million over a 2020 stabbing that stemmed from a dispute involving NBA YoungBoy.
The court found Mayweather fully responsible for intentionally assaulting Jacobs with a deadly weapon and ruled that Jacobs acted in self-defense. The judgment includes $40.1 million in compensatory damages and $10 million in exemplary damages, along with interest and court costs.
The ruling comes as Mayweather remains on six years of probation following her 2022 guilty plea in connection with the incident. The massive civil award adds another significant legal consequence to a case that has drawn public attention for years.
