Roc the Peace Fest Returns

Yesterday, the Rochester community came together to help in the fight against violence in Rochester and surrounding areas with the 13th annual Roc the Peace Fest. To show their support of non-violence, many musicians, artists, dance groups, and vendors supported this event. Roc the Peace is an organization dedicated to intervening in young people’s lives before they make a bad choice.
Sierna Cotton, Founder of Roc the Peace, dedicates this event to her son and all the victims of violence in the city, as he was murdered more than a decade ago. Cotton stated: “I love my son. Today would’ve been his 31st birthday. It’s just for the community to come together and love on one another.”
