Singer and Actress Shonka Dukureh Found Dead at Age 44

On Thursday, Shonka Dukureh was found dead in her Nashville apartment that was shared with her two children. Dukureh is the best know for her performance in the new biopic Elivs, as well as featured on Doja Cat’s song “Vegas.” Baz Luhrmann and Doja Cat expressed their condolences to Shonka Dukureh, with Doja stating: “Rest in Peace Shonka… An incredible talent taken from us too soon. Was a true honor getting to know her and I am so grateful to her for lending her incredible vocals to ‘Vegas.’ Her amazing performance in Elvis amongst her other artistry will live on. Sending my deepest condolences to her loved ones,”
