Ontario County Judge Faces Reprimand for Contacting Judge About Friend’s Case

An Ontario County judge is facing an official reprimand for contacting another judge about a family friend’s court case and asking that bail be set.

The New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct said Judge Kristina Karle used her position to try to influence the case. 

She explained that the woman was struggling with severe drug addiction and needed help getting treatment. Karle later apologized and reported her own actions.
