The NFL’s Winningest Coach Don Shula has passed away at the age of 90.

The long time Miami coach won Super Bowl VII and VII, including the only team to go perfect 17-0 the 1972. Shula was Coach of the Year 4x. NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team and Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year in 1993.

Before coaching, Shula played in the NFL from 1951 to 1957. Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Colts and Washington Redskins, before becoming a defensive coach for the Detroit Lions in 1960. He was named head coach for the Baltimore Colts from 1963 to 1969.  Then the Miami Dolphins head coach from 1970 to 1995.

Shula was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame back in 1997. I’m not sure when the NFL season will start. Whenever it does starts, I guarantee the NFL will be honoring Don Shula all season long and in Miami forever.
