The Presidents Dismisses Climate Change At Briefing For Record Wildfires

Written by on September 16, 2020

The President was in Sacramento Monday for a briefing on the record-setting wildfires that have devastated California. During the brief, the secretary of California’s Natural Resources Agency, Wade Crowfoot pleaded for assistance from the government. He stated how climate change was impacting California with extreme temperatures and working with science to succeed in protecting California.

Crowfoot also mentioned that Death Valley broke record temperatures as it was 130 degrees and you can see the President say “that’s good” as Crowfoot continued speaking.

I get science for wildfires may not be in 45’s best interest right now because it is election season. However, people are losing everything and some have lost their lives or family members due to these wildfires. With climate change, the fires will get worse and fire season for California hasn’t reached its peak yet. Science is what allows us to live as we do today and isn’t science going to provide a vaccine for COVID-19?

You can not pick and choose when science is convenient for the narrative you want to tell, you are working in the best interest of the people of the U.S.

Anyways, here is the video with 45 and Wade Crowfoot at the briefing.
