With Some Stipulations, the Canadian Border Opens to U.S Citizens

Yesterday, American tourists were allowed to enter Canada for the first time since the start of the pandemic. However, not just anyone is allowed in. Those who wish to enter Canada must provide that they’re fully vaccinated and test negative for COVID-19 within three days of crossing. Travelers must also fill out a detailed application. Fully vaccinated in this case means the required amount of shots and at least 14 days after the last shot. Canadians are still barred from coming into the United States for non-essential travel.
Jennifer Green-Wilson, an Ontario, Canada native who now calls Rochester home stated; “My advice is that you really have to pay attention to the process. You can’t shortcut when they say you need to fill in your details. If you don’t supply your vaccination card and everything else they ask for, you won’t get across.”
