What’s Going On With The Mail?

Across social media, Rochester residents have been voicing their concerns over the status of their mail delivery.
First Class Mail has been arriving much later than usual and people are starting to notice.
Due to budget cuts to the post office, overtime has been cancelled so the postmen and women are now being required by their boss, the postmaster general, to stop what they are doing as soon as their shift is over, even if that means the haven’t finished their route for the day.
Dana Vernetti, a spokeswoman for the Irondequoit Democrat commented on the matter, saying:
“Our office has heard from a few constituents about recent challenges with USPS delivery. We share their concern and will be looking into the matter further.”
