What Is Healthier The Impossible Burger Or Beef?

Written by on November 22, 2020

I am a fan of the Impossible Burgers not so much because it may or may not be healthier, it’s just damn good! So, the debate lately is is the Impossible Burger a healthier option than regular beef burgers?

Well, it really comes down to preference. There is an article on Greenmatters.com that breaks done both types of burgers. Of course, there are pros and cons as with everything in life you have to decide what’s the best option for you.

The article is a long read so I will try to make this short and sweet. Regular beef burgers and Impossible burgers have just about the same amount of calories per serving. However, if you add toppings to either burger this will increase calories. For vegans, the nutritional value is important because of vitamins and mineral content in which the Impossible Burger does well.

The Impossible Burger contains 25% of the daily nutritional value of iron and a beef patty has 16%. Beef burgers contain more protein and have K2 which regulates calcium deposition Impossible patties do not contain K2.

So you can see there are a few things to consider but the biggest thing is Impossible Burgers are not meat from animals. Because of this, you do not have to worry about small traces fecal matter in the meat or and chemical hormones. On the flip side, Impossible Burgers are a genetically modified organism (GMO) because the ingredients are genetically engineered.

It’s up to you to decide which burger is right for you.

Oh! And you must remember the Impossible Burger was made to taste like beef not really to be a “healthier” option.
