Virgin Mary Statue Returned to Rochester Church

A statue of the Virgin Mary that was taken from the grotto outside Holy Cross Church in Rochester has been recovered and returned to the parish.

Church leaders said the statue will be placed on display inside the church this weekend for parishioners to view. Officials have not released details about where it was found or whether anyone has been charged.

The parish community thanked supporters for their prayers during the time the statue was missing.
