University of Rochester requiring Students to receive COVID-19 Vaccine for Fall 2021
Written by Site Hub on April 24, 2021
Yesterday, the University of Rochester’s Coronavirus University Restart Team announced that all undergraduate and graduate students will be required to receive the COVID-19 vaccine for the fall of 2021. There will be no remote instruction unless they are an international student who is unable to return to campus. By requiring students to receive the vaccine, it ensures that the campus can most effectively limit or eliminate the spread of the coronavirus on campus.
Students who are planning to return back to campus must be vaccinated fully by August 1st. International students who are unvaccinated will have opportunities to get the vaccine once they arrive on campus. The university is considering separate housing for those who are not vaccinated, but for now, they are mandating the vaccine.
