It’s been 5 years since we lost the greatest musician and artist of my lifetime. Prince Rogers Nelson died on the 21st day of April in 2016. It is a day that I will never forget, as my mom is a huge Prince fan and the walls of my childhood home were always filled with the sound of his voice.
I have been to two Prince concerts and have met a handful of Prince look-a-likes who my mom befriended over the years. YES the love runs that deep in my family.
So on the 5th anniversary of his death, I want to share with you my Top 5 favorite Prince Songs.

#2 1999 – this song really had me, and the rest of the Class of 2000 thinking that the world was going to end while we were still in high school.

#1 Take Me With You – not only is this my favorite Prince song, this is my favorite scene in the movie Purple Rain!
