Twerkulator Video Directed by Missy Elliott! [VIDEO]

It’s time for the Twerkulator VIDEO!

City Girls already won Summer 2021 when they secured the rights to sample “Planet Rock” and released their single just in time for summer BBQ’s and pool parties. But on Wednesday, JT and Young Miami shocked the world when they premiered the video directed by Missy Elliott.

Missy has always been known for her creative visuals and banging choreography. She’s also been very generous with her talents, writing and producing songs for other female artists including, Aaliyah, 702, Jazmin Sullivan, Tweet, Nelly Furtado and now City Girls.

She’s been sharpening her directorial skills in the past few years as co-director of “I’m Better” and “Where they From” along side her longtime partner Dave Meyers.
It was the “I’m Better” video where I first noticed the skills of Choreographer Bankhead.
He went onto create the routines for Cardi B’s WAP, UP ad Lil Nas X “Montero” live performances. See what he and Missy cooked up for the City Girls.

Missy’s voice sets the scene of the Twerkulator video by announcing a State of Emergency in Twerk City that mirrors the intro of her 2003 Pass that Dutch Video, in which she predicts an “unknown virus”.
