Total Solar Eclipse 2024 Rochester Is In The Center Of Its Path

Written by on March 23, 2023

Gearing up for 2024 Rochester, NY will be the center of a Total Solar Eclipse. The Total Solar Eclipse will take place on April 8th, 2024 and Rochester sits right in the center of the path totality.

If you miss this one the next total solar eclipse won’t happen until 2045. The last Solar Eclipse to happen in Rochester was back in January 24, 1925. The eclipse will cross over North America passion Mexico, United States, and Canada. The total solar eclipse is when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth. It will block the face of the Sun completely and that will cause the sky to darken as if it were dawn or dusk.

Rochester will have the best seats on Earth being in the center of totality for viewing this total solar eclipse.

Make sure you have your safety glasses before you look at the eclipse. In the next several months the glasses will pretty much be available everywhere.
