The Woolly Mammoth May Be Coming Back

I’m all for science but there comes a point where I question things like what are we doing?

There is a company that plans to bring back or “genetically resurrect” the woolly mammoth. No, this is not a joke. The company is Colossal and they said they actively pursue conservation and preservation of endangered species. And of course, the woolly mammoth is extinct but the company said they would take the DNA they recovered from a frozen mammoth and splice them into an Asian Elephant. The Asian elephant is the closest related to the mammoth species.

Would you visit a real-life Jurassic Park?

Now don’t get me wrong I would LOVE to see a real woolly mammoth but will this “resurrection” attract the ignorance and destruction of men. Will they be hunted and for sport? We have animals living on this planet facing extinction due to poaching or loss of habitat from clearing for human settlement and agriculture. Scientists are calling it the “sixth mass extinction” which includes animals like whales, gorillas, elephants, rhinos, and tigers.
