Social Media Deleting Is Becoming A Thing For Mental Well-Being

Written by on August 15, 2022

Tom Holland the Spider-Man star decided it is “detrimental to his mental health” to delete his social media. Now THAT is being the superhero of your life!

If I had it my way everyone take a break from social media every 3-4 months by deactivating and deleting all apps for 7 days, at least. Again, that’s if I had it my way. But, unfortunately, that’s not the way the world or people work and I get it. Not everyone can it’s addictive and some people make their living through social media.

My experiences after deleting all of my social media apps off of my phone and actually deleting my Snapchat account have lead me to living life more fully and present. I’m more focused, disciplined, and experience more joy since deactivating and deleting social media.

I’ve even created healthier habits, study more, and implemented a night and morning routine that allows me to get better sleep and have more energy during the day. Just to give some examples.

If you are on social media and you feel your mood shift from a good space to a space of irritation, sadness, or anger get out NOW! Close the app put your phone down and do what you need to do to get into a healthier mind-space.

Please by all means take care of your mental well-being.

There are many, many, many ways available to you without using your phone like breath-work, exercise, journaling, playing uplifting music, singing, poetry, meditation, and affirmations. The list goes on, just do something good for you.

Remember no one will care and value you more than YOU so be the superhero of your life!
