Rochester Red Wings Hosting Inaugural Home Plate Food Drive
Written by Tariq on August 28, 2026
The Rochester Red Wings are holding a food drive to help Rochester City School District school pantries. Fans attending home games through Sunday are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations to the ballpark. The donations will help stock school pantries facilitated by Fooklink as students return to the classroom.
You do not have to go to a game to donate. Donations will be accepted outside the stadium before each game, and the Red Wings will also collect donations during ticket office hours. The most-needed items include shelf-stable, nutritious foods — such as cereal, peanut butter, pasta, rice, canned fruits and vegetables, soup, beans and other pantry staples. The first-ever Home Plate Food Drive is a collaboration by Wegmans and the Red Wings.
