Rochester leaders met Monday to oppose federal threats to sanctuary cities like theirs.
At the meeting, they said it’s unfair for the government to cut funding or ask cities to enforce federal laws.
Mayor Evans said Rochester will join a lawsuit with other cities to fight back.
They also discussed how possible cuts to Medicaid could hurt local people.
