Rochester Fringe Festival Set To Begin This Week

Festival organizers announced the entire lineup at the Dryden Theatre within the George Eastman Museum. This year, there will be over 715 performances of 297 productions at over 45 venue locations. Some of the acts performing this year include “Circus in the City,” “Cirque du Fringe: Anchors Aweigh,’ and the cult hit “A Young Man Dressed As a Gorilla Dressed As An Old Man Sits Rocking In a Rocking Chair For Fifty-Six Minutes And Leaves.”
The Fringe Festival kicks off on Tuesday, Sept. 15, bringing world-class performers in dance, theater, music, comedy, filmmaking, visual arts, acrobatics, magic, and more to Rochester. It runs for 12 days in a row, through Saturday, Sept. 26. The Fringe Box Office, located at the corner of Main and Gibbs streets in Rochester, opened on Sunday for those who want to buy tickets to see the Fringe Festival shows in person. The box office will be open many more times in the coming days.
- Monday, Sept. 14: 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Tuesday, Sept. 15, through Thursday, Sept 17, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Friday, Sept. 18: 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Saturday, Sept. 19: Noon to 11 p.m.
- Sunday, Sept. 20: Noon to 10 p.m.
- Monday, Sept. 21, through Thursday, Sept. 24, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Friday, Sept. 25: 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Saturday, Sept. 26: Noon to 11 p.m.
