Rochester Area Fourth of July Celebrations

Communities throughout the Rochester area will host Fourth of July celebrations for America’s 250th birthday. Festivities include family-friendly activities, live music, fireworks and much more.

Friday, July 3

Town of Irondequoit 4th of July Festival (Day 1)

• 11 a.m.-9 p.m. — Craft fair and market, live music
• 4:30 p.m. — Watermelon eating contest
• 6 p.m. — Cornhole tournament
• 7-11 p.m. — Street dance event

Saturday, July 4

Downtown Rochester

• Fireworks at 10 p.m.
• Duration: 15-20 minutes
• The Broad Street Bridge and Court Street Bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic for pedestrian viewing.
• Court and Broad streets between South Avenue and Exchange Boulevard will close at 8 p.m. and reopen as soon as spectators leave the area after the show.

Rochester Red Wings

• Game vs. Lehigh Valley IronPigs at 6:45 p.m.
• Postgame fireworks
• Bruce the Bat Dog fetching bats

Town of Irondequoit 4th of July Festival (Day 2)

• 7:45 a.m. – 2 mile fun run
• 8:45 a.m. – 10k
• 11:00 a.m. – Parade
• 11 a.m.- 9 p.m. – Craft fair and market
• 1 p.m. – Declaration of Independence reading
• 1:30 -9:30 p.m. – Live music
• 9:30 p.m. – Fireworks

Town of Brighton

• 8 a.m. – 4th of July 5K at Brighton High School
• A special edition commemorative finisher medal will be offered in celebration of America’s 250th birthday

Activities at Meridian Centre Park

• 2:30–5:30 p.m. –Petting zoo, crafts, face painting and more
• 2:30–9:45 p.m. – Live music
• 6:30–8:30 p.m. – Foam cannon party
• 8–9:30 p.m. – Magic bubble Party
• 9:50 p.m. – Fireworks

Morgan-Manning House Museum Semiquincentennial Celebration

• Located on the lawn at SUNY Brockport Hartwell Hall
• 9:30 a.m. – Children’s parade
• 10 a.m.–1:30 p.m. – Old-fashioned games on the lawn
• 1:30 p.m. – Cake Walk
• 10 a.m.–2 p.m. – Live music
• Food and treats offered all day

Village of Fairport and Town of Perinton

• Fleet Feet Firecracker 4 Mile starts at 8 a.m. at Whitney and O’Connor roads, ending at Perinton Park
• Parade starts at 10 a.m. on Maple Street, proceeding south on Main Street and west on Church Street, ending at Perinton Park
• Party in the Park starts after parade at Perinton Park

Town of Greece 4th of July Celebration

• Greece Town Hall
• 4-8 p.m. – Games, crafts, inflatables, food trucks and the 250th display
• 6:30-9:30 p.m. – Live music
• 9:45 p.m. –Fireworks
• Parking at Greece Athena High School with shuttle service

Town of Henrietta 4th of July Celebration

• Veterans Memorial Park
• 4 p.m. – Children’s activities (petting zoo, splash pad & water slide, glow dance party and more) and food vendors
• 7:45 p.m. – Live music
• 9:45 p.m. – Fireworks

Canandaigua’s America 250 Celebration

• Parade starts at 10 a.m. on Main Street, running from City Hall to Booth Street
• Food trucks and vendors throughout the day at Richard P. Outhouse Memorial Park
• 1 p.m. – Opening ceremony with cannon blast
• 1–5 p.m. – All American field games with YMCA, afternoon tournaments and competitions
• 2–5 p.m. – Live music with Rockin’ Boots Band
• 5-6 p.m. – Mercy Flight helicopter
• 6–9 p.m. – Live music with Midnight Storm Band
• Fireworks at dusk

Genesee Country Village & Museum Liberty in Action: 1776-2026

JOIN THE CONVERSATION (1)

• 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
• 11 a.m. – Individuals from around the world will take their oath and be sworn in as new citizens. ASL interpretation provided.
• 1 p.m. – 4th of July parade around Village Square led by Uncle Sam.
• 1:15 p.m. – Historic toasts and reading of the Declaration of Independence.
• 1:45 p.m. – Ladies Vintage Base Ball teams Townball games on the Great Meadow
• 2:30 p.m. – Pie eating contest on Brooks Grove Church lawn.
• Live music and horse-drawn carriage rides throughout the day
