Planet Fitness to offer free membership to teens this summer.

Written by on May 20, 2024

Planet Fitness is offering its High School Summer Pass program again this summer, providing free gym access to teens aged 14 to 19 across the United States and Canada including the 11 locations in the Rochester area. The program runs from June 1 through August 31. Parents of teens under 18 must sign a waiver for their children to participate, which can be done in person at any Planet Fitness location or electronically.

Once registered, teens can work out independently at any Planet Fitness location and do not need to use a school email to sign up. Instead, they can use any email, which also allows them to access the Planet Fitness app. This app offers additional free workouts and fitness training tailored for high school students.

Participants will need to adhere to certain gym rules, such as wiping down equipment before and after use, using headphones for music, and avoiding working out in large groups. Proper gym attire and footwear are required.

For families interested in working out together, parents will need to secure their own membership. This initiative provides a great opportunity for teens to stay active during the summer months, particularly when school sports and activities are on break. Find your local summer club and register here.
