In a rare occurrence, Lil Wayne hopped online to clear the air about his dating and career life. Recently, rumors circulated that the rapper was dating, and even engaged to, a 23-year-old influencer named Madi K. Amid those talks, Tunechi failed to show up for his scheduled concert in Maine. As the internet stirred with both topics, he revealed what’s really going on.

Is Lil Wayne Really Dating 23-Year-Old Madi K?
The video of Lil Wayne, reposted by The Shade Room, shows him admitting he doesn’t share much content, especially personal content. Then, he immediately jumped into clearing his dating status. “No, I’m not engaged, no,” Lil Wayne said, while shirtless with a guitar hanging from his shoulders. Tunechi said he had “a beautiful thing going with an amazing person.” However, he appeared to imply he ended the romantic connection due to the backlash their romance was receiving.
“…But obviously due to the validity of the temperature of today’s crazy world and culture, I considered I don’t want to be such a burden on such an amazing person. So we decided to part. It sucks”
To note, Wayne didn’t address his lover by name. Back in late May, Live Bitez reported that fans had tracked down and identified a woman (Madi K) seen on stage during one of Lil Wayne’s performances earlier this year. The post claimed that Wayne had proposed to her and that she was from Indiana. Then, this past weekend, Madi K shared a selfie of her and Tunechi on her Instagram Stories, calling him her [white] heart. She hasn’t yet addressed Lil Wayne’s breakup announcement.
Why Did The Rapper Miss His Maine Show?
Aside from clarifying that he’s not engaged, Lil Wayne revealed he was in Des Moines, Iowa. According to Complex, he was scheduled to perform in Bangor, Maine on June 30 — the opening night of his 20 Years of Carter Classics Tour. But fans who packed out the Maine Savings Amphitheater were left disappointed when at 11 p.m. it was reportedly announced the rapper wasn’t taking the stage, per Page Six.
“Listen, Bangor, Maine. I got to apologize to you personally again for real, for real. Sorry for missing that show the other night. Listen, I have epilepsy and I have seizures. Thank God I haven’t had a seizure in years, but seizures have triggers. The triggers to my seizures are bad migraines, I had a bad migraine that night. It was recommended that I don’t get in the air,” Lil Wayne said, admitting that he still tried to get on the plane.
Ultimately, he leaned into medical advice and chose not to get on the plane. The rapper revealed the show was rescheduled to July 28.
Lil Tunechi’s Last Relationship Ended With Abuse Allegations
A little over a year ago, Lil Wayne’s romantic life was tied to Denise Bidot. The pair had been dating on-and-off since 2020. In January 2021, they had seemingly broken up and later that year, rekindled. A year later, January 2022, she confirmed she was single again. Sometime between then and early 2025, Lil Wayne and Denise became a couple again.
In May 2025, she alleged that Wayne had broken up with her on Mother’s Day via text message and kicked her and her daughter out of his home. At the time, she claimed to be five weeks post-surgery from a mommy makeover. Bidot accused her ex-boyfriend of uprooting her life in New York City for nothing, alleging that he’s been both emotionally and physically abusive. Wayne did not address her comments.
