Yesterday, Governor Andrew Cuomo held a Zoom Press conference to update the state on a new mandatory. Starting on Labor Day, the state will require COVID-19 vaccines or mandatory COVID-19 testing for state employees. This new regulation will mirror the vaccine and testing mandate that the federal government is planning for its workers. In addition to this requirement, the governor ordered that all state health care workers must be vaccinated without the testing option.
Our healthcare workers carried us through this pandemic—and we owe it to them to do what we can to keep Delta under control.
NYS will require patient-facing healthcare workers at State hospitals to get vaccinated to help keep both patients and workers safe.
