New Scam Alert: Scammers Use Artificial Intelligence Technology To Clone Voices Of Family Or Friends

If you get a call from someone who sounds like a friend or family member in trouble and asking for your information hang up and call them back. Then report the incident to local authorities.

Well, there is a new scam and we know scammers are going to scam. With AI scammers have a new way to swindle people out of their money. Federal regulators are warning consumers to be vigilant for calls that use cloned voices generated by Artificial Intelligence.

Criminals can get samples of voices from content posted online via social media with a voice cloning program.

Again, if you receive a call from someone asking for your information or for payment through wire transfer, cryptocurrency, or gift card hang up and call your friend or family member back to confirm.
