Just My Thoughts: COVID-19

Written by on March 20, 2020

Right now there is a lot going on and a lot we don’t know. COVID-19 has disrupted and changed the way we live for the moment but it has also changed the world. We will not be the same when we get to the other side.

That necessarily is not a bad thing. Yes, we will have to cope with job loss and the financial impact of this pandemic nationally and globally. We will also have to deal mentally and emotionally as well. But, our resilience, compassion, and love will shine through in the end. That I wholeheartedly do believe.

What we will learn about ourselves, I think will be extraordinary!

Of course we are inundated with the negative’s of this virus via social media and media in general however, you have the good. Example – we are talking to each other more than ever even as complete strangers. Uniting to help those in need and our elders. We are using social media to bring happiness, some relief, and more to people who are isolated. Being there for someone right now is absolutely everything!

So where do we go from here? All I can say is as we face the unknown it is imperative to keep smiling and remain optimistic. We are all in this together and we will get to the other side of this with faith, love, and by taking it day by day.

We are facing something we have never experienced in our lifetime with this pandemic so we must listen to the experts and let them work us through this. A very special thank you to our leaders, doctors, scientists, nurses, emergency personnel, first responders, and all working in the health care field. Thank you the individuals that work retail as well! It’s been hectic for you and we appreciate you all for being patient while working diligently to make sure we have the essential items we need.

Please take care of yourself, wash your hands, and be safe. You can help by social distancing and staying home. If you feel sick STAY HOME and contact your primary care provider.
