After serving as a journalist for Fox News for over 18 years, Chris Wallace announced at the end of Fox News Sunday, that hat this was his final episode. Wallace stated: “Eighteen years ago the bosses here at Fox promised me they would never interfere with a guest I booked or a question I asked, and they kept that promise. I have been free to report to the best of my ability, to cover the stories I think are important, to hold our country’s leaders to account.”
During his sign-off, Wallace also added that his next adventure will allow him to “go beyond politics to all the things I’m interested in.” While he didn’t state on air what his next adventure will be on the air, just hours later it was revealed that Wallace will be anchoring a weekly interview show on CNN’s new subscription streaming service, CNN+. Wallace stated: “After decades in broadcast and cable news, I am excited to explore the world of streaming. I look forward to the new freedom and flexibility streaming affords in interviewing major figures across the news landscape and finding new ways to tell stories.”
