Hip-Hop Legend L.L. Cool J Turns 52

Hip-Hop Legend LL Cool J turned 52-year-old today (01/14) Before he spent more than 10 years on the TV Show, NCIS Los Angeles as Special Agent Sam Hanna, or hosting TV Show Lip Sync Battle. 

James Todd Smith, born in Bay Shore New York and raised in Queens, New York, started rapping at the age of 9, and at 16 L.L. started creating demo tapes. One demo tape caught the ear of the Def Jam Records. LL Cool J short for “Ladies Love Cool James” was signed. He 1st single “I Need a Beat” 1984. 

Being from NYC and old enough to see LL Cool J, evolve and create music that would last for decades and become a successful Family Man, Actor, Author and Entrepreneur is amazing. Congratulations and Happy Birthday to L.L. Cool J.
