According to News 8 & a sign posted on the door, Texas Roadhouse in Henrietta has been shut down temporarily due to a pest issue by the Monroe County Department of Health. The sign reads that the order was made on February 18. News 8 has reached out to Texas Roadhouse about the closure. A representative said a recent pest issue led to the closure. They are working with a pest control company and the Health Department to re-open as soon as possible, adding they take sanitation and food safety very seriously. This comes after News 8 received a video that appears to show baby mice and unsanitary conditions. A Texas Roadhouse representative said that was not an ongoing issue. Furthermore, they said that this incident happened in January and was related to a hole in an interior wall being found during a construction project. The representative explained that the wall was sealed that night and the kitchen went through an immediate full steam cleaning and disinfection, as well as all of the equipment being disposed and replaced.

“We can confirm that after consulting with the Monroe County Health Department, our store located at 3150 W. Henrietta Rd in Rochester, NY was closed the evening of February 18. A recent pest issue, which is common in the county, especially during the winter months, has caused the closure. We are working diligently with our pest control company and the local Health Department to resolve so we can reopen as soon as possible. We take our record of sanitation and food safety seriously and are taking every step to address with comprehensive sanitation measures.“
