Governor Kathy Hochul: Parents Should Book Pediatric Appointments for Kids to Get Vaccinated
Written by Site Hub on October 20, 2021
Yesterday, Governor Kathy Hochul held a press conference on the latest efforts on the fight against COVID, as well as vaccination efforts in NYC. According to Governor Hochul, New York anticipates Pfizer’s vaccine for children ages 5 to 12 will be out in November and that parents should call their pediatricians now to schedule appointments. There will also be other options for parents who can’t get their child into the pediatrician, but rather they will provide school resources.
New York has also launched a new state COVID-19 dashboard hub that can be found easily after a quick internet search. There is a plethora of information on this site, information that includes COVID-19 testing, positive cases by zip code or schools, daily hospitalizations, and COVID-19 deaths in hospitals or nursing homes.
