Supporters across the internet are left heartbroken as they mourn the passing of beloved TikTok star Marcel Johnson, who lost his battle with stage 4 stomach cancer at 32. Marcel was not only a TikTok star but also a loving husband and devoted father of five. He was diagnosed with cancer in August 2025. He gained the attention of millions as he spent the past 15 months documenting his cancer journey on social media.

Taylor Johnson Shares Heartbreaking Details About Marcel’s Passing

On Tuesday, news broke of Marcel’s passing after his wife, Taylor Johnson, took to social media to share the heartbreaking announcement. In her Instagram post, Taylor revealed that Marcel passed away on November 2 at 4:45 p.m. She shared that her husband had been fighting for so long and was exhausted from the pain.

Taylor also recalled Marcel telling her and his brother, Dedric, that he was ready to go. Despite his condition, he continued fighting throughout the day, giving his family a little more time together.

In her emotional post, she wrote:

“November 2 2026 @ 445pm. I lost a whole entire half of me. He fought so hard for so long.

He was so tired & exhausted & in so much pain.

Yesterday the only words Marcel said all day were to me & Dedric and it was “I’m ready to go” and that was in the morning. He still fought to hang on all day so we just got a bit more time. I truly don’t even have words right now. I feel like this can’t be real life. How can this be real fucking life. I thought I was going to wake up and he was still going to be here beside me. I love him with my whole entire being and life will absolutely never ever be the same. @celnoshell”

Marcell Johnson’s Brother Shares Emotional Tribute Following His Passing

Taylor wasn’t the only family member to share an emotional message following Marcel’s passing. His younger brother, Dedric Charles Johnson II, also took to social media to reflect on their bond. In his heartfelt tribute, Dedric described Marcel as his protector, best friend, and father figure after losing their dad at a young age.

He praised Marcel’s strength throughout his battle with cancer and shared how proud he was of the man and father his brother had become. Dedric also promised to look after Marcel’s wife, Taylor, and their children. He vowed to keep his brother’s legacy alive and make sure his children always remember how much their father loved them.

In his emotional Facebook post, Dedric wrote:

“Yesterday, November 2nd, at 4:45 PM, a piece of me left this world that I’ll never get back. My big brother, my protector, my built in best friend, and one of the biggest pieces of who I am took his final breath.

I’ve spent so much of my life looking up to you, and I don’t think I ever truly found the words to explain just how proud I am to be your little brother. Proud of the man you became, the family/ foundation you built, the father you were to your boys, even a father figure to me having lost our dad so young, and the strength you showed even when life gave you every reason to give up. You fought a battle that had odds stacked against you from the jump and you faced every last minute of it with a courage and a tenacity that you were going to beat this shit, and I’ll admire that for the rest of my life. Saying you were strong is an understatement, you were a real life superhero.

Having you as my big brother was the biggest blessing I’ve had in life. Losing you feels like losing a part of myself, a part of my history, and a piece of home that I can never replace.

But I need you to know something. That promise I made you wasn’t just something I said to give you peace. It’s a promise I intend to keep for the rest of my life. Taylor and those boys will never have to question whether they Uncle Deej. I’ll be there for the birthdays, the milestones, the hard days, and all the little moments in between. I’ll do everything I can to make sure your boys grow up knowing exactly who their Dad was, how deeply he loved them, and how proud he would be of them. I’ll never be able to fill your shoes, but I’ll spend my life making sure they never feel like they have to walk through this world alone the way that you and I did.

I don’t know how to navigate a world without you in it. I’ve already had to say goodbye to too many people I love, and I never imagined I’d have to figure out how to live without my big brother, too. There’s so much more I wanted us to experience together. So many conversations, laughs, memories, and years I thought we’d have.

I hope you left this world knowing how loved you were, how proud I am of you, and how much of the man I am today exists because of you.

You spent your life being my big brother, leading, and being my voice of reason. Now I’ll spend the rest of mine making sure your legacy lives on and no one ever forgets, BIG CELLY! 🖤🦍
