Mayor Warren to Unveil Historic Permanent Marker at Site of Frederick Douglass’ First Home on Alexander St.
Mayor Lovely Warren will unveil a permanent historic marker to commemorate the site of Frederick Douglass’ first home in the City of Rochester.  Joining Mayor Warren will be representatives from the Pomeroy Foundation, who funded the marker, along with the owner of the property at 297 Alexander St., relatives of the Douglass family, and the individuals responsible for researching and applying for the designation.
