Ford Recalls Nearly 149,000 Mustangs Over Electrical Issue

Ford is recalling 148,663 Mustang vehicles from the 2024–2026 model years over an electrical wiring issue that could cause a loss of drive power or affect the headlights, windshield washer system, air conditioning, or cooling fan.

The affected Mustangs were built between September 7, 2022, and June 9, 2026. Ford will replace the engine-compartment wiring harness ground terminals free of charge.

Owners can check their VIN for the recall. The NHTSA recall number is 26V547, while Ford’s recall number is 26C40.
