Emergency Rental Assistance For City and County Residents Information

Here is some important information for anyone that may be facing eviction in the city of Rochester and Monroe County. Mayor Lovely Warren and County Executive are working together to help prevent evictions and homelessness once the moratorium expires.

The eviction moratorium will expire May 1, 2021. The city and county have $40 million in rent relief funding to help those facing eviction. However, your situation has to be due to the COVID-19 pandemic in order for you to get help. If you are facing eviction call 211 to apply for Emergency Rental Assistance available 24 hours a day.

• Housing Hotline: The Housing Council at PathStone Housing Hotline hosts counselors who answer questions and provide advice on tenant and landlord issues. It is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call (585) 546-3700.
