Dog Shot While on a Walk in Rochester; Police Investigating

Rochester police are searching for a suspect after a dog was shot early Friday morning on St. Paul Street.

According to the Rochester Police Department (RPD), the dog’s owner was walking with the dog off-leash when he suddenly heard a gunshot. Upon checking, he discovered that his dog had suffered a gunshot wound.

Fortunately, the dog survived and remains in the owner’s custody. Investigators are working to determine the circumstances of the shooting, and authorities have urged anyone with information to call 911.
