DMV’s Across Monroe County Are Doing Their Best
Written by Site Hub on August 29, 2020
DMV’s all across New York state have been open by appointment only for months now, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Locations are backlogged and customers are more frustrated than usual but Monroe County Clerk Jamie Romeo says that Monroe county is doing the best that it can do.
According to Romeo, DMV’s are set up like a retail store where people walk in and take care of their business, but now they function closer to a doctors office where you have to call and get an appointment.
Romeo commented further, saying:
“There’s better ways we can continue to serve the public, and we’re also looking to see how we can adapt things.”
Sources say that on top of this there’s a 30% no show rate and that just slows things down even more.
There is an online portal where you can make appointments and it works well on mobile devices too. You can also call any DMV to make an appointment.
