Over 20 states have set records for new COVID-19 cases in one week.
It is widely believed that the fall surge is happening right now as the US reports more than 90,000 cases for the second time since the pandemic began.
Places like Wisconsin, where the focus in on ballots and not coronavirus have become the newest virus hotspots. Officials reported over 5,500 new cases and 52 more deaths — a 44% average rise in daily cases.
According to a CNN exit poll, only 1 in 6 Americans listed COVID-19 as a reason for voting.
