Binx The Cat was Reunited With His Family After Surviving the Florida Condo Collapse

The search for the dead in Surfside, Fl. has taken a toll on hundreds of people’s lives, but just as it seemed that hope was lost, a little bit of light came their way. A cat named Binx, who had lived on the ninth floor of the collapsed building, was found alive and reunited with his family. A volunteer named Levine Cava feeds cats on the street, and Binx was found in the vicinity of the collapsed building. Cava decided to take him to an animal shelter, where he was identified.
Binx was taken to the Miami Beach cat rescue group The Kitty Campus, where co-founder Gina Nicole Vlasek posted about Binx on Facebook. From there, a family member was able to find this post and track down Binx to bring home.
