Amerks Have Started Their 2021 Training Camp

Written by on January 18, 2021

The Amerks are officially back after their first official day of training camp on Friday. They haven’t hit the ice in Blue Cross Arena since the pandemic started back in March, but with a new coaching staff and new players, they hope to bring some wins to Rochester.

The new team includes a taxi squad of 4-6 members in case there’s a COVID-19 related issue. As of right now there are only 16 players on the team, which will make it easier for everyone to get to know each other quicker.

“We talked about it from our first meeting. We want to be a connected group,” said head coach Seth Appert. “We want to be connected on the ice in how we play together and play for each other, but also be connected as much as we can off the ice.”
