A Copy Of Super Mario Bros. Video Game from 1985 Sold For $114,000

If I knew back then what I know now I would have saved my Nintendo video games. At an auction that based in Dallas the original Super Mario Bros. Nintendo game sold for $114,000. The video game was a rare copy and it broke the record for the most ever paid for a video game.

The reason it went for so much was because of how the video game was packaged. The box has the cardboard hang tab underneath the plastic. Which meant the video game was produced after Nintendo started to seal the games with shrink wrap instead of stickers.

Something that simple made all the difference in how much the game sold for, wow!

Originally this Super Mario Bros game cartridge was released in 1985 for the Nintendo gaming system. Heritage Auctions where this game was auctioned off said it was the highest-graded copy of the game they ever sold.

Also, a copy of Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out that sold at the same auction for $50,400. Punch Out, Mario Bros., and Contra were my favorites!

I’m literally shaking my head at the fact I could be $114,000 richer if I would have saved instead of played lol.
