Luis Armando Albino, who was kidnapped as a 6-year-old from a California park in 1951, has been found alive on the East Coast after seven decades. Thanks to a DNA test taken by his niece, Alida Alequin, Albino’s identity was confirmed by police. Albino was abducted from an Oakland park by a woman who took him out of state, and he spent most of his life believing he was the son of another couple. After receiving DNA confirmation, Albino flew to California for an emotional reunion with his family, including his brother Roger, who had been with him the day he was kidnapped. Their reunion came just two months before Roger passed away. Albino, a retired firefighter and Marine Corps veteran, expressed gratitude to his family for finding him.
