Stolen catalytic converters have been a hot topic in Monroe County.
A local scrap metal company is collaborating with the Brighton police department to fight against catalytic converter theft by handing out free catalytic converter identification kits.
The kits will help vehicle owners be able to identify their catalytic converter if it’s stolen and sold to a scrap metal yard.
