Jif Issues Voluntary Recall On Peanut Butter Products

Written by on May 26, 2022

Jif issued a voluntary recall for its Jif Peanut Butter and peanut butter products. The recall is on select Jif products but several other food companies have added their products to the list.

The recall is due to the potential of salmonella contamination. If you have any of the products on the recall list the FDA says you should either dispose of the product or return to the place of purchase.

You can get more information and the list of recalled products from Jif by clicking here. The original recall came out on May 20 but other companies have added to list like J.M Smucker Co., Del Monte, and others.

Two people have been hospitalized as fourteen cases were reported in 12 states. The CDC said there could be more cases of Salmonella illness.
