Diddy is Starting a Record Label for R&B Artist

Written by on August 5, 2021

Diddy is making his way back into the music industry. Sean “Love” Combs was recently featured in the September issue of Vanity Fair, where Diddy shared his plans to start a new record label exclusively for R&B artists. The record label is called ‘Bad Boy Entertainment,’ which in the past has previously failed. This time around, Diddy said he has different plans, he will not be signing artists. Instead, he plans to do a 50/50 partnership with “pure transparency.”

Diddy stated; “I feel like R&B was abandoned and it’s a part of our African American culture… [The new label is so that] we can own the genre; we don’t own hip-hop right now…We have a chance to –and I’m going to make sure that–we own R&B.”
