Free COVID-19 Testing Site Information For Monroe County

Written by on December 1, 2020

A Frontliner asked a great question today on the Wake Up Club regarding COVID-19 testing. Is the test free or do you have to pay?

If you want to get tested for COVID-19 there are a couple of options available. You can go to the Anthony L. Jordan Health Center on 82 Holland Street, Rochester, NY. If you can not pay or don’t have health insurance they will not turn you away. You can call 585-423-5800 or click here for more information.

You can also contact the Monroe County Department of Public Health if you have been exposed to COVID-19. The number to call is 585-753-5555, you can email COVID19@monroecounty.gov, or click here.

If you go to a state-run testing site like the one out at MCC testing is free for all New York residents. You don’t have to be an essential worker or symptomatic to get tested.

However, testing sites that are NOT state-run may charge you a fee. The best way to avoid that is by calling the site first or your insurance provider.
