Church Service Is Reopened, But Only 25% Capacity

The days of watching Church services on Zoom, Facebook or YouTube might be coming to an end soon. Church in New York State has re-opened. Well sort of. Governor Cuomo made the announcement over the weekend. Churches, Mosques and Temples can only have a small number of people in attendance. Allowing 25% capacity with social distancing rules for places that are in Phase 2.

Cuomo said, “25 percent occupancy is not as easy as 100 percent occupancy, but a hundred percent occupancy is a mass gathering.” Cuomo goes on to say “It doesn’t mean you go to a temple or mosque and sit right next to a person,”

The news comes as the number of deaths from COVID-19 are going down. As is the rate of infection in some parts of the state.
