YMCA’S Persimmon Place Warming Shelter Now Open

After receiving $4.1 million in funding from the Homeless Housing Assistance Program, the YWCA of Rochester and Monroe County has announced a new warming shelter for the winter. The brand new shelter is called Persimmon Place and is located at 35 Ardmore Street in Rochester.
It’s open 24 hours a day, seven days a week until warmer weather arrives. The RTS will provide rides to and from the new center all season long.
