Yikes! Russell Simmons Puts Kimora Lee Simmons On Blast Over Co-Parenting Comments

Whew, Roomies! Russell Simmons has the internet popping off after he threw some shade at Kimora Lee Simmons. The entrepreneur and record executive seemingly clapped back at his ex-wife after she said she “doesn’t have a relationship” with any of her kids’ fathers.

Russell Simmons Seemingly Accuses Kimora Lee Simmons Of Spreading False Claims

In a now-deleted post, Russell Simmons called out Kimora Lee after she said she’s the primary parent for her kids. Fans know Kimora and Russell share two daughters, Ming Lee and Aoki Lee Simmons. Additionally, she has three sons: Kenzo Lee with Djimon Hounsou, Wolfe Lee Leissner with Tim Leissner, and an adopted son, Gary Lee. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Kimora said she may talk to her kids’ dads, but parenting mostly falls on her. Russell quickly stepped in to shut all that down, saying he’s had her back since day one and is even allegedly the godfather to her other kids.

“I gave u 50,000 a month for 20 years. I was ur best/only friend. I’m the godfather to your other 3 kids, until one day you stole my stock,” Russell wrote.

Russell didn’t stop there. He claimed Kimora has been working overtime to keep him from having a relationship with their daughters.

“I have been fighting for my kids love and my bread ever since. You threatened that if I sued you, I would never speak to my kids again. He added, “There are two sides to every story.”

Here’s What Kimora Lee Previously Said About Co-Parenting

Russell’s clap back at Kimora comes after she told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview that she “doesn’t have a relationship” with her kids’ dads. “Usually I would say that I co-parent okay, but the kids are with me full-time.” Kimora continued, “I’m pretty much the primary parent.” 

She added that being the main parent for all of her children is way harder than people think. “It’s difficult. I don’t know sometimes what other people are thinking. Guys are weird.”

Kimora Lee Takes Credit For Russell’s Pull With The Ladies

Russell and Kimora’s relationship played out online before. Back in June, a clip from Kimora’s appearance on the ‘Him and Her’ podcast went viral when she recalled Russell confessing to her that, “He gets so much p-word because of her.” She added that she would tell her ex-hubby, “That’s right, and I’m glad you know that because you’re my b***h.’

Kimora also hyped herself up, saying she thinks women wanted him because they were trying to step into her shoes. “A lot of girls have come and gone, thinking they can replicate that situation, but not knowing what I brought. What I brought is not what you bring, honey,” Kimora said.
