There’s alot going on behind the scenes of CBS’ courtroom drama “All Rise” as five writers of the original staff of seven have quit the show over racism.

The New York Times reports that Shernold Edwards was one of three people of color to quit the CBS show after she grew increasingly frustrated. She says, “we had to do so much behind the scenes to keep these scripts from being racist and offensive”. Among those who recently quit were the program’s three highest-ranking writers of color.
The show, which stars Simone Missick as an idealistic Los Angeles judge, is currently underway for the second season. Here’s more from New York Times.
