A food service director at an Illinois school district was arrested and is being accused of stealing $1.5 million dollars worth of chicken wings.
Reports say the woman began stealing the chicken during The peak of COVID-19 when the kids were at home doing a remote learning.
The woman was able to still order the chicken wings while school was out because the district was still doing food pickups.
The woman was busted after a random audit was done and it was found that the school budget $300,000 was over spent on food back in January 2022 halfway through the School year.
It was reported that she ordered 11,000 cases of chicken wings and they’re not clear what she did with the food.
I think I have an idea what she did with the food.
