Washington, D.C. has another WNBA Championship win thanks to the Mystic. Emma Meesseman scored 22 points on 9-for-13 shooting in the Mystics’ 89-78 victory over the Connecticut Sun. Meesseman was named Finals MVP.
Elena Delle Donne, 2019 WNBA League MVP, had 21 points, and Kristi Toliver and Natasha Cloud had 18 points apiece in the decisive game of the series. To win the first WNBA championship in Mystic history.
Washington’s been on a nice run the last 2 years with the NHL’s Washington Capitals winning the Stanley Cup in 2018, and the MLB’s Washington Nationals playing in the NL Championship Series this Fall. As for the NFL’s Washington Redskins and NBA’s Washington Wizards? Let’s just say they have their work cut out for them.
Now Washington belongs to the Mystics. Congratulations, will there be a White House visit?…………….. LoL, too soon?
